The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 1.0
Samantha Swift and the Golden Touch is an adventure game developed by MumboJumbo.
This is a new sequel to the Samantha Swift saga. The main character is Samantha - a young and brave archaeologist. She is now looking for the Midas Touch. If you are familiar with Lara Croft's saga, you will find that the plot, the girl's capabilities, the fact that she lost her father and some other aspects, are very similar in this game.
Saying that, let's go into this adventure. You will first have to find some objects from a list, but in this case you will see that some of them will need a special tool to grab them (you will realize that because the cursor will change into blue with two gears). In the first level you will have to find and collect Alexander's chariot.
You will also have to solve some tricky puzzles. An interesting thing is that you will be able to have bonuses if you collect hidden golden flashes. Another helpful tool is the scanner, wherewith you will see shapes of different things in case you don't know what exactly you're looking for.
The visuals of the game are amazing, and its cartoonish style is incredible. The sound effects are good and the soundtrack is nice. The game play is simple: you will just use your mouse. In conclusion, this is an excellent game if you are fan of adventures and you are waiting for another challenge. |
- Awesome graphics.
